The Rox rocked in Arlington!

Colorado Rockies Vs. Texas Rangers

Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas

This is my 34th MLB game of the year. 38th including the Minors. 2nd on road trip.

My 9th MLB stadium. Including the 2 old NY Stadiums and Cominsky Park.

The stadium from down the block on Nolan Ryan Expressway.

A closer look.

A view inside Rangers Ball Park.

A few players were on the field warming up when we arrived. Matt Reynolds was the first to come over.

Matt Belise throwing in the outfield.

Alex White stopped by on his way out to the field and signed for us also. After throwing he came back oer and gave Amy a ball.

After hanging out by the wall I did a loop to check out the stadium. This is one of the places in centerfield called Ryans Express. There is a bunch of places out there to get food and beverages. There is also a few photos to sit at and watch the game on a large screen or with direct view of the field.

Here is a look at a Nolan Ryan Statue in center field in the background you can see part of the large video screen.

A look from the inside of the home plate entrance which is the entrance where we first entered the stadium.

Here is a look at the retired numbers and players for the Rangers Nolan Ryan, Johnny Oates and Jackie Robinson. I also found it interesting that Some guys named Albert-son, Dr. Pepper and Jose Cuervo was also retired in Arlington stadium!!!! Ok maybe not but found it funny that they had these sponsors in the same section as the retire numbers.

While I was walking around Rafael Betancourt signed on the third base line.

Chris Nelson, Michael Cuddyer and Tyler Colvin during warm ups.

Chris Nelson throws during warm ups.

Cuddy taking some cuts!

The bull pen staff heading to the bullpen for the start of the game.

Todays starting line up.

Colby Lewis throws the first pitch to the Rockies Jonny Herrera. Jonny would hit a single steal 2nd and 3rd. He would than score on a Jason Giambi single. Lewis did strike out 3 Rockies in the inning.

Carlos Gonzales fouls one-off during his at bat in the 1st. inning. He was one of the strike outs for Lewis in the inning.

Giambi hitting a single to score Herrera.

Giambis hit looked like it may have been caught.

It got passed Rangers center fielder Craig Gentry.

Michael Cuddyer at the plate in the first he was the third strike out of the inning.

Josh Hamilton loses his bat in the 1st.

During the 2nd inning we met up with Chris from Rock Nation. If you have not checked out the rock Nation Website do it after you read this post!!

http://www.rocknation.co/

Here are Chris with Amy and I

The Rockies scored 3 runs in the 3rd while we were hangin out on the concourse.

After we met up with Chris we headed to wander the stadium we really did not get far. We stopped and saw the rest of the game from above the Rockies bullpen.

Josh Hamilton catches a Tyler Colvin hit to center. He moved over to center when Gentry left the game.

Here is a look of some of the bullpen members trying to keep cool in the shade.

Nelson Cruz hit a HR to the Rockies bullpen in the 5th. After Jeremy Guthrie tried to throw it to someone in the crowd that missed Adam Ottavino tossed it to someone else. After he did that Amy said to him that she gets the next one if it is a Rockies HR. Well Wil Nieves hit one to the Rockies bullpen.

Adam Ottavino kept his promise and tossed it to her!!

Here she is with it. This was Wil Nieves first HR with the Rockies.

Check out Amys Blog. http://takefromblake.mlblogs.com

I think Jeremy Guthrie is embracing his new role in the bullpen. i think he has a future in field maintenance if thing don’t pan out there. I hope he does not have to make the switch. He did real well in his first appearance in the bullpen the other night in Philly.

Josh Outman pitched into the 5th inning. This is his 78th pitch. what happened to the 75 pitch limit? He did pitch well but it got a little out of control in the 5th. the Rangers score 6 in the inning. including Nelson Cruz’s 2nd HR of the day off Ottavino.

Dex Making a catch in the 5th. I think it was hit by Ian Kinsler.

Ottavino while he was warming up in the 5th inning.

Here he is heading in from the bullpen.

Rex Brothers heading into the game between innings.

So the Rangers have a race with these 3 dots. Like our random dental products race.

Not creepy!!!

Michael Young slide into second after his lead off double in the 7th.

Rockies celebrates their 11-7 victory over the Rangers. This series is now tied at one game apiece.

Can’t wait for the third and final game from Arlington. This is a really cool stadium. this is the statue at the front of the home plate entrance. In Memory of the Rangers fan who passed away after a fall in the stadium last year. Shannon Stone and his son Cooper and All Fans Who Love the Game.

Another look at the front of the stadium.

Now this is a look of the Cowboys Stadium. This building is crazy looking. It is HHUUGGEE!!!! I think it has its own weather pattern!

That is it for this one. Having a great time on this trip. Looking forward to the 3rd game of the series tonight and my 3rd game of the trip. Go Rockies.

The Rockies fall flat!!!

Mariners Vs. Rockies game 2

My 20th game of the year.

This game I planned on going to until I relived it was a 2:10 start. I had to work til 1PM and thought I was going to sit this one out. It would have only have been the 3rd home game I would have missed this season. Even til this morning I was not sure if I was going. I really don’t like showing up for games 10 minutes before the game starts. So when I got off work I figured I could make it to the game. I headed home because I totally was not expecting to go today. So I made it into Coors during the National Anthem and headed directly down to the first baseline to get first pitch.

Christian Friedrich was the starting pitcher for the Rockies. This would be his third start since being brought up he started in San Diego and San Fransisco. He won his first start against the Padres and should have won his start, that he got a no decision against the Giants. It was his Coors debut and a lot was expected from him. He started this game out well sitting the Mariners down in order. He threw 12 pitches in the inning.

The third out of the inning was ICHIRO flying out to Dexter in center field. As Dex was running in, Mike from Aspen called to Dex for the ball and he tossed it up to his son’s friend Jack.

Jason Vargas was the starting pitcher for Mariners.

Marco Scutaro was the first batter for the Rockies and hit a pop very high that was fielded by Mariners first baseman Alex Liddi. The Rockie like the Mariners went down in order.

Friedrich did not start the 2nd inning off very well he walked the first . Batter he faced in the inning and Kyle Seager hit a HR for a Mariners 2-0 lead. Tulo would lead off the bottom of the 2nd. by walking, the Rockies were not as fortunate and Michael Cuddyer did not hit a HR but gave it a good ride to right field but the ball was caught by ICHIRO (Just Have the Need to yell his name, I think it was inspired by the Japanese guy in Major League 2)

ICHIRO catches Cuddyers hit.

Marco Scutaro takes a dive/ fall after a grounded hit by the mariners in the 3rd. I think I am gonna name all post according to a Scutaro photo!

Ok maybe not but this is 2 in a row!

The Mariner did score 2 more runs in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th. (5-0) Mariners

Friedrich lasted til the 6th he was responsible for ‘3 more runs that inning and then….

….Esmil Roger was brought in to stop the bleeding or pour salt in the wound. Look at it how you want. He came in with bases loaded and a few of Friedrichs runners scored. He would also allow one of his own! (9-0)

Mike with his son Sivan and Jack.

Thanks for the Brat BURRPP!!

The Rockies put up a fight after pulling most of the starter in the 7th. Jason Giambi started the mini rally with a double. He scored on a Jordan Pacheco single. Jason Giambi was the only Rockie to get on base twice in the whole game and he came in in the 7th and only batted twice.

Yeah J.P.

Wilin Rosario  Kept the rally going with a hit of his own…

…it was a HR!!!!!

9-3 Mariners

Ramon Hernandez ended the inning grounding out.

The end of the 7th means one thing!!!!

VERY CREEPY!

The Mariners scored another run in the 8th and that was pretty much it. The Rockies batters are making the Nariners pitchers look like total rock stars and not like a 18-24 team. These games should have been a little closer and the Rockies should have been in them for a little more than an inning or 2. So the down would spiral continues. Hopeful they have hit rock bottom and can now start their recovery.

Well that is it for this one. I will be at Coors for the last game of this home stand and series.

See Ya there!

Third in a row, Ohh No!

5-6-2012

Braves Vs. Rockies

Game 3 of Series

My 16th game of the Year at Coors.

Figured I would switch up the graphic and use one with the starting line up for the Braves.

It was a Sunday game which means arrive to the stadium early for a good spot in-line for Autographs. For the second Sunday in a row I forgot my ticket at home. This week I realized I forgot it on my way so I headed back to the house and got it. After I arrived I was still third in-line. So more important things who signed today? Jonny Herrera, Tyler Colvin, Edgmer Escalona and Carlos Torres. The first line I got on was for Tyler Colvin who I had sign a card. I than got on Carlos Torres’ line he was a few minutes late signing. I had him sign my Coors Field sunset photo I have been getting as many people on the team to sign. It is Coming along pretty well. Once the 4 were done I headed down towards the wall. Not long after being there, Jamie Moyer headed out of the Dugout he started over by the dugout and signed for about a half hour til he was pretty well up the right field line. He signed a card and the photo. Michael Cuddyer and Wilin Rosario also signed at the wall.

Jamie Moyer signing for fans.

Before the game they also had one of the Little League parades. Here are a few of the little league Rockies, walking around the warning track.

Juan Nicasio tosses a ball into the crowd as he makes his way to the dugout with catcher Ramone Hernandez.

Juan Nicasio pitching to Braves lead off batter Michael Bourn. Bourn had 13 total at bats in the previous 2 games. He got 5 hits, walked twice and scored four times, with 1 RBI. This game Nicasio would strike him out to start the game. Two of the out in the inning were strike outs and looked like things were going well for the Rockies. Nicasio did hit Freddie Freeman and he was the only base runner.

Michael Cuddyer catches Martin Prado’s fly ball to right which was the 2nd out of the 1st.

Brandon Beachy was the starting pitcher for the Braves.

Marco Scutaro gives one a ride,…

… but it was caught at the wall by Martin Prado.

After walking Carlos Gonzalez stole second in the first.

The Rox did give a fight starting with Giambi walking to lead of the inning. Hey got out at 2nd on a Cuddyer hit to third. Ramone Hernandez hit a single. Dexter Fowler and Juan Nicasio then bot struck out leaving Cuddyer and Hernandez on base.

The Braves scored 3 runs in the 3rd to take the lead. It was an HR by Freddie Freeman it was his second HR of the series and the first was also a 3rd. inning HR on friday night.

Jason Heyward dive back to first after his 4th. inning walk. He would later score on a David Ross single.

Adam Ottivino came in to relieve Nicasio. In the 6th inning. Nicasio did not have a great game letting up 9 hits, 5 runs, 6 runs, walked 3 and hit a batter in the first. He did also strike out 5. As he left the game it was (6-0) Braves

Yup, Still Creepy!

The Braves scored a 7th run in the 7th. The Rockies showed a little promise in the 7th scoring 2 runs sending 7 to the plate.

They did end up loosing their 3rd straight against Atlanta. Finishing the home stand 3-6. Not a good homestand.

Ramone Hernandez runs down the first base line as he make the last out of the game.

After this game they were 12-15 for the year. After a lose to the Padre on Monday. They are 6.5 back in the west and only lead the Padres by 3 games.

Well That is it for this one.

I finally caught my first one.

4-16-2012

San Diego Padres Vs. Colorado Rockies

My 5th game of the year @ Coors.

Like always the day started off in the pavilions for Batting Practice. After the 4th games of the season I have not got one a BP ball. So the Rockies were taking their BP and I would not get my first BP ball of the year. The Padres came up and after the first ball went out I noticed there was a different logo on the ball. So I went over to the person who had got it and It had a Dodger Stadium  50th Anniversary ball. The Padres came from playing LA over the weekend. After a few go rounds and groups I finally got my opportunity to catch my first ball of the year. I get it, look down and it is a Dodger stadium ball. The ball was clean and logo and stamping was in great condition. Not bad for the first snag of the year.

Here’s a photo from BP.

Then I notice this familiar guy in left field.

Look it’s Huston Street.

On my way around the stadium a friend had a baseball and asked if I could get it autographed. So I headed down to the wall and the first player out was Todd Helton so he started walking over to the wall. I had the ball autographed and brought it back to them. So when I was handed the ball I asked who were they looking for and the answer was a new guy or someone good, So I got one of the best.

Jeremy Guthrie was the starting pitcher for the Rockies here he is with Ramon Hernandez heading from the bullpen.

Here is Guthrie pitching the first pitch to the Padres Cameron Maybin. Maybin struck out for the first out of the game. Will Venable Than got a double of Guthrie and would score on a Chase Headley double. Headley would score two batters later on a Nick Hundley Double. Yes that was 3 doubles in the first inning for 2 runs.

The Rockies had a not so succesful. 1st.and the Padres scored a third run in the 2nd again because of Andy Parrino’s lead off double and process of moving over from outs to score.

The Rockies would come up in the 2nd. and Helton lead off with a strike out. Michael Cuddyer than hit a double of his own. He would score 2 batters later on a Tyler Colvin single.

 Cuddyer stepping on second.

After sitting down the Padres in order in the 3rd. and the Rocks not having a productive inning the Padres came up in the 4th. Yonder Alonso lead off with a single and then Jason Barlett kept the doubles coming with on to score Alonso. (4-1) Padres. For those keeping track that was the 5th. double the Padres have hit.

Bob Apodaca heads out to the mound in the 4th. inning. The Padres would score a total of 2 runs in the 4th. (5-1) Padres. The Rockies continued not to get things together offensively. The Padres scored an additional run in the 6th.

Then another sleepless night of having bad dreams about having a toothache ache and being chased by dental products.

Still kinda creepy!

Marco Scutaro tuning a double play in the 8th inning.

 To Helton at first.

and the call by Joe West…..

yurrr out!! Sit down Jason Barlett. Even when your team is down by five runs it is nice to see a well executed double play.

Helton making a play in the 9th inning he tossed to Chatwood who covered first for the first out of the inning.

After another Padres run in the 9th. and a quick 3 outs for the Rox in the 9th the game was over with a 7-1 loss for the Rockies. The Padres hit a total of 7 doubles. Guthrie pitched 7. Matt Reynolds pitched well in the 8th. Chatwood pitched the 9th.

Two more for the Rox against the Padres.

Well see ya at Coors.

Tonight Jamie Moyer goes again to try to be the oldest starting pitcher to get a win in Major League Baseball.

If I can get a ticket from one of my usher friends. Oh wait I pay for my tickets!

Cold Sunday at Coors.

4-15-2012

D’Backs Vs. Rockies

Game 3 of series.

My 4th game of the year @ Coors, 5th including the Springs.

Today was also Jackie Robinson. This year marked the 65th Anniversary of becoming the first black player in the Major Leagues.

As with all Sundays at Coors it was autograph Sunday.

Today Juan Nicasio, Tyler Chatwood, Rex Brothers and Matt Reynolds signed.

I was able to get Tyler Chatwood on a Card and Rex Brothers on my default photo of Coors Field which is a photo from the upper deck of the sunset on the last game of the season last year.

Drew Pomeranz was the starting pitcher for the Rockies. This was his first start of the year. Drew did have a start in Tulsa on April 10. He went 4 innings striking out 4 and letting up no runs.

Pomeranz pitching to the Diamondbacks Ryan Roberts. Roberts and Gerado Parra both grounded out Justin Upton than hit a single and Michael Young hit an HR for a quick 2-0 lead for the D’backs.

Troy Tulowitzki makes one of his patent off-balance throws to first. Kids don’t try this at home. Maybe he is trying to do a running man!!!! I don’t know this just does not look comfortable to throw like that.

Chris Young touches home after his 2 run HR.

Drew Pomeranz pitches to Aaron Hill in the 1st. inning.

Eric Young Jr. grounding out in the 1st inning.

Here is a look from section 307.

I was going to walk aroung the whole concource but decided to head to my seat which I very rarly get to usually I walk the concource or hang with friends in other sections.

The Diamondbacks scored another run in the 3rd. for a 3-0 lead.

Pomeranz pitching in the 5th inning to one of his last batters. He was taken out with 1 out and I believe 2 runners on base.

Josh Roenicke warming up in the bullpen.

The D’backs did score to for a 5-0 lead.

Drew Pomeranz coming out of the game in the 5th. He threw 108 pitches 45 for strikes and 63 balls. Letting up 5 runs and 9 hits.

The rain started shortly after the pitching change so I headed down to the concource by the bullpen.

Matt Reynolds heading to the bullpen in the 8th inning. He struck out 2 in the inning and got the third to pop out to short.

Tulo Catching the pop up in the 8th inning.

After Chris Nelson struck out in the 8th. Jonny Herrera hit a double to start a Rockies mini rally. He and Eric Young Jr. both scored (5-2) D’backs. Tulo singled and Ramon Hernandez pitch hit in the pitchers spot which was 5th in the batting order after a double switch earlier in the game. The Rockies sent 9 batters to the plate in the ninth and it looked like there may be a little Lodo magic for the third game in a row but they fell a little short. The D’Backs used 4 pitches in the inning.

Michal Young being tossed out at first for the last run of the game. He was responsible for 3 of the 5 D’backs runs.

The final score was 5-2. The Rockies did win the Series taking the first 2. Hopefully last years Sundays whoa’s won’t carry over to this year and this game was a slight glitch not the start of a Sunday trend. The Rockies are 4 and 5 on the year. and currently 3rd in the N.L. west. 4.5 games back from the Dodgers who have had an amazing 9-1 start to the season. Looks like the owner ship change was good for them.

Starting Monday the Rockies will be playing the San Diego Padres. So we get to ask the question of where is Huston Street once again!!

I should be there for all 3.

See Ya at Coors.

Thanks for reading.

The Luck of the Irish was with me! Day 4

3-17-2012

LA Dodgers Vs. Colorado Rockies

Salt River Fields At Talking Stick

This day like most started early. We headed down to Salt River Fields for some BP. We started on the Diamondbacks side for there Major League Batting Practice. Where I got 3 Bp baseballs 2 rollers and final my first catch of the year, for a total of three. Than Don, Dan and myself headed over to the Minor league fields also on the D’backs side for minor league BP and I got 10 more mostly rollers or pick ups and a few Easter eggs!

So we than headed over to the batting cages because the Rockies did a BP in there instead of on a field. So we just watched from above.

Here’s Todd Helton Challenging hitting Coach Carney Lansford to a fight clearly Todd got the Karate Chop ready and Carney looks read to slide a jab or they are just going over his swing of the bat! I like my version better

Nolan Arenado in the cage. This area of the complex always reminds me of a zoo.

Always remember don’t feed the Players!

Jason Giambi Taken some swings.

Johnny Herrera looks on as Ramon Hernandez. Take a swing.

Jordan Pacheco waits for his turn in the cage and the creative BNW for this post to show off the mad photo Skillz.

Casey Blake loosing up before hitting the cage. He has not been in-game this spring due to an injury.

So after hangin there for a while we headed into the stadium.

This is new guy Marco Scutaro who the Rox got from the Red Sox in the off-season.

He most likely will be at 2nd base. But there is depth at the position with Johnny Herrera and D.J LeMahieu. Who as I was writing this was sent to Minor League camp. But I think we may still see him in Coors soon.

Bench Coach Tom Runnels brings the starting line up to home-plate.

Rockies Jeremy Guthrie throws the first pitch to the Dodgers Dee Gordon

Guthrie faced 4 batters in the inning only giving up a double to Andre Either.

Juan Uribe throws to first to get Marco Scutaro out at 1st. for the second out of the inning.

Adam Kennedy catches the Uribe throw.

Former Rockie Mark Ellis throwing to first to get Guthrie out in the 4th. The Dodgers scored one in the fourth when Tony Gwynn Jr. hit a single to get Eithier home. (1-0) Dodgers

 the catch from Ellis’ throw.

The Rockie would respond with 2 of their own in the 4th. Guthie’s out scored Chris Nelson and Eric Young Jr. hit scored Andrew Brown (2-1) Rox

Rene Lacheman gives a baseball to a kid the way only Renee can with his spiel.

Andrew Brown shaking Jim Tracy’s hand after hitting a HR in the 6th inning. 3-1 Rox

Willin Rossario legs out a single in the 6th.

Also in the 6th during I believe Rosario’s at bat I caught a foul ball and gave it to Mary O, who is an usher at Salt River Fields and Coors. It was her birthday. Happy Birthday Mary. It was the first game ball I got in a Major League game.

Parker Frazier pitching in the 7th inning.

The Rantics Showing some support for our Home Boy Tom Helmer. Dans 8-year-old daughter took this photo way to go good job.

During the Network not to be named pre game show we were shout to bring back Helmer and we want Helmer.

As you see in this picture I am wearing my St. Patty’s Day green hat. Which this guy stole from me for a few minutes before the game.

The Rockie mischievous mascot Dinger he could not get it on his head so he hung it on his nose.

Than the bee’s came and they evacuated the left center part of the berm.

Here is the mostly cleared berm from right field.

The Dodgers scored a run in the 8th inning the Rockies scored 2. (5-2) Rox

Rockies closer Rafael Betancourt came in for the 9th and got lit up by the Dodgers letting up 4 runs before the end of the inning.

Than in the 9th Tim Wheeler stepped to the plate with 2 outs and the game tied at 6 and launched a 2 run HR to the berm in right field for a Rockies walk off win. (8-6) the final. Right before this homer we were talking about how he is a clutch player and he proved the conversation right.

Once again thanks for checkin out the Rox addict blog.

We stil have about 5 games left at Spring training and I am still a game behind on posting so check back.

From Scottsdale I am the Rox Addict and I will see you around Phoenix.

2 days @ Coors, Rockie Fan Fest 2012

1-21-2012/1-22-2012

Rockies Fest 2012

For the 3rd year in a row I was fortunate to attend the Rockies Fan Fest. The Rockies Fan Fest is held every year in January. In the past it was only open to Colorado Rockies season ticket holders, this year they did have a season ticket holder Fan Fest and that was on Saturday. Sunday was an open to the public, which allowed the Rockies Fans that do not have season tickets to attend. The Rockies did charge to attend day 2, it was $25 for Adults and $1.00 for kids.

To start I would like to thank my friend Anna for giving me her ticket to Saturdays Fan Fest.

So Saturday started early the gates to Coors opened at 9:30, a few days before we decided to go out to breakfast. So we decide just like opening day last year to head to the 20th street cafe.

So Douglas the founder of Opening day Breakfast attended aswell as Hunter, and D The Rockpile Ranter.

Also Allanah X, Gary X and Amy

After Breakfast we headed to Coors where we were the first group on-line. So we left a few people in line and Gary X, Amy, Ranter and a few others headed over to the will call window, which was supposed to open at 9:00 AM at about 10 after someone told us that the will call windows will be windows a few feet away from where they normally are. OK but this was at 10 after and the windows were going to open at 9. Hmmm… see something weird happening here!!! Than around 9:20 the windows opened I was the second person on my line and the guy in front of me got his tickets in about 30 seconds. I get to the window and the first question I got asked was what is my season ticket ###. I replied I am using these tickets that were suppose to be mailed to the season ticket holder and were not so I was to pick these up from here. I told the gentleman at the window my name and oddly enough it came up on the computer saying my season ticket holders name and ticks for Me insert real name here Mike ……

So I got my tix so at the window next to me were Ranter, Gary X, Amy and Dan and they were told that this was not the Will call window and there tickets were at A gate. Which makes no sence what so ever considering the person in front of me got his and I was in the process of having my tickets printed. The Girl at their window said that the tix that were left for them are at Gate A. So than they headed over Gate A Dan did have 2 tickets on him which X and Lil X used to get in. So after other will call issues everyone did eventually get in for more on the craziness check out the Rockpile Rant.http://baseballsnatcher.mlblogs.com/.

So we immediately headed down to the memorabilia store that they set up down stairs on the same level as the Rockies Club House and Visitors club house. This year it was in the visitors club house. So I found some stuff to purchase. I got Aaron Cook’s locker sign and a signed ball. Ok you may ask why would I get Aaron Cook’s stuff considering he is no longer on the Rockies one is it was a good price, 2 I had never got a Aaron Cook autograph in my 4 years attending games at Coors. I had met him and taken photos  with him on photo day but never was able to get an autograph. Than I also found some souvenir baseballs from 1993 Rockies home opener at the old Mile high and also a few coomerative base sticker. The ones on the side of the base’s I got a “We Will Not Forget” 9-11-200. Later Geoff gave me a Jackie Robinson day 2007 one that he bought an extra of. Thanks Geoff.

Than we headed over to The Rockies Club house. Here’s a few photo’s of lockers of player you may be familiar with!!!

<<<<<Tulowitzki’s

Carlos Gonzalez’s

We than headed to our respective event session. The first one I had tickets for an autograph session in suite 53. Jason Giambi and J.D. Lemahieu. I had an Upper Deck game used card signed. I got a Rockies press photo signed for D.J. since I did not have an Item for him to sign.

My second session was for an Interview session I like seeing the interview sessions. Usually they are kind of candid. The players in this session were D.J. Lemahieu, Dexter Fowler, Casey Blake, Jason Giambi and Troy Tulowitzki. Here are a few photos.

Casey Blake. Casey recently signed with the Rockies as a free agent he played with the Dodgers

Tom Helmer was asking the questions along with Tracey Ringolsby.

During the player introductions Helmer made the comment that “2/3% of the earth is covered by water  the other 1/3 is covered by Dexter Fowler”

Dex was asked about player the huge center field area at Coors. They also talked about Dex working out with Tulo and Giambi this off-season. Dex has gained 9  lbs. in the off-season of muscle and cut his body fat from 14% which I think any of use would love to have to and even better 10%. They also spoke  about Casey and D.J. joining the Rockies and how they could help the team and the benefits of D.J. competing for the second base job with EYJ and Jonny Herrera. Little that we all knew was the Rockies were in the process of acquiring Marco Scutaro from the Red Sox for 2nd base, which should make this even more interesting!

Dexter Fowler Answering questions.

Troy Tulowitzki answering questions.

After the Interview session I stayed on the club level and headed over to where the Rockie Prospects were.

Chad Bettis, Nolan Arenado who was the Arizona Fall League MVP and Rob Scahill.

Chad and Nolan Played with Modesto in 2011 and Rob Scahill played with the Tulsa Drillers.

While they were signing other prospects were also on the club level interacting with the fans.

Here is Christian Friedrich playing guitar hero.

Kent Matthes playing giant Jenga.

Mary O with Jim Tracy. Mary is one of the ushers at Coors that I goy to know over the last year. She is also one of the reasons I can get some of the great photos I get.

Jim Tracy signed a few autographs for the fans. He is really great signing for the fans, he also has one of the most intricate autographs.

During the day we had also had an autograph session with Todd Helton and Rich Dauer.

Towards the end of the day we headed down to the Rockies club house again and also took a peek inside Jim Tracy’s office.

That was pretty much the end of the day. In total I got 28 autographs  from players at Fan Fest Including Casey Blake, Josh Roenicke, All the prospect players in the fanfest program, a ball from Nolan Arenado, cards signed by Tyler Matzek, Ramon Hernandez, Tyler Chatwood, Todd Helton and X got me signed promotion cards from Jason Hammel, Chris Nelson and Rafeal Bettancourt.

At the end of the day we headed down to the concourse and took this mass running man with Gary X, Amy, Lil X, Geoff and Douglas.

That was it for day 1.

Day 2 Rockies Fan Fest 2012.

I was not sure if I was going to the second day but X as alway’s looking out got me a ticket, knowing I would procrastinate picked up an extra ticket for me.  Thanks X.

So before leaving my house I dubbed this day deuce of Rockies Fest. I than headed down to Coors. I was one of the first people to arrive at Coors and being a Sunday there was free street parking and it also being the baseball off-season there was free parking on Blake street. So I got a pretty good spot for a better spot they would have had to open the gates to the stadium for me to pull in!!!!

First spot next to the C gate!!!

So shortly after X and Amy arrived. Amy wearing her Jordan Pacheco Jersey that she got the day before.

The back of the Pacheco Jersey.

These Jersey’s are authenticated by the MLB authenticator @ Coors field here is the MLB authentication sticker!!

Pacheco also signed it for her.

Once again after the gates opened we headed to the Memorabilia sale which we figured would have new Items today and it did. I got a Red Rockies hat that they wear at home for special occasions Memorial Day, 4th of July ect. While I was trying to look at Sizes I notice #’s on the inside and found one with the #51 in it. Which is Matt Reynolds. So I picked it up. Also got some random pins from years past and 2 Rockies umbrella’s just because. So since I parked so far from the stadium I ran the stuff out to the car and it was time to head to our first auto session. It was for the Mountain Ranch Club and the first signer was Todd Helton, 2 Helton autos in one weekend that is twice as many as I got in the last 4 years. I had him sign a photo that I thought was the swing for his 500 double, But after I had him monograph it 500 2b realized it was a photo from my first game in 2009. So it was cool to get a Todd auto but was upset it was the wrong photo. It was cool of him to do that for me though. With Todd was  Chris Nelsen was signing.

Todd Helton signing a card for Gary X.

We than headed to our next session, along the way we walked past Matt Reynolds, Jason Giambi who each gave us a high-five. We continued to suite 55 and found out that Carlos Gonzales was signing.

Cargo walking down the hall while we were online. I believe that is Josh Roenicke who also signed that session. I did get a Rockies promo 5×7 signed by him.

Cargo signing along side Jerry another really cool usher from Coors.

Next it was back to the Mountain Ranch Club for our next session and The Day of The Deuce happened as I said earlier I dubbed this day, day deuce which pretty much I was going to get a Tulo auto today. Troy Tulowitzki was the signer along with Josh Field you may remember Josh from the end of last season.

Tulo signing.

Tommy Field signing.

After we wandered a little while before our next session and we ran once again into Jim Tracey signing for fans.

Our next auto session was also in the Mtn Ranch Club and Dex was signing. Forgot who was in their with him.

We also had tickets to another session this hour and while heading there someone said would you guys like to take a photo with a few player so we said yeah that would be cool and the players were Matt Reynolds, Eric Young Jr. and D.J. Lemahieu. So it being EYJ and Matt we asked if they would do a running man. For those that don’t know me it is something I do everywhere I go and have been for about 15 years. So they agreed and we got these photos.

D.J. Lemahieu,Gary X, Matt Reynolds and Eric Young Jr.

Amy running man with the players.

Me with the players. No running man it came out blurry.

When we got to the next session Ramon Hernandez was signing. With Matt Lindstrom.

after that session there was still about an hour left before the end of Fan Fest so we headed down to the Rockies Club house.

Many Players were down there. Jorge De La Rosa signing a card for me. When I ask him how his arm was he said very good.

He had Tommy John surgery in May of last season. He is expected back in May this year can’t wait to see him pitch again.

He can possible be the ace of this staff. With Chacin, Hammel and the others I am sure he will work for it.

Rex Brothers Doing a running man with Allanah X

Drew Pomeranz running man.

These players do not have to do this, but they do and  I thank them for it. It shows how much fun this staff is.
